Summary:
"Stanley Pickle" is a short stop-motion animated film that follows the life of Stanley, a 20-year-old man who lives a reclusive and meticulously clockwork existence in his house. His life is filled with mechanical toys and rigid routines, avoiding the complexities of real human interaction. Both his parents are mechanically moved. Everything changes when he notices a lively and free-spirited girl named Jennifer playing outside. Fascinated by her spontaneity, Stanley is drawn out of his mechanical world. As he gets to know Jennifer, he begins to experience real emotions for the first time, ultimately leading him to break free from his self-imposed isolation and embrace the unpredictable nature of life.
Reaction:
At first, I thought the video was very simple, showing the ordinary life of a boy and his parents spending their time. However, the scene where his father repeats the same movement, the part where his mother puts the heating iron onto her cheek, and the fact of them being a puppet was very surprising.
